Reflection: The Beggar and the King

Reflection: The Beggar and the King

"The Beggar and the King" is a wonderful play in one-act by Winthrop Parkhurst, it encourage us the moral attitude for the people who had pride in thereselves and a wonderful thing that can realize the bad attitude that we have and to change it into a good one.

In the beginning of the story we discover that the King is a rich, pride, and have a bad attitude towards his servants and the people who's down to his position or power as a King.

And then a Beggar came screaming for bread. So as a King he ordered to punish the beggar with the best they can, even if the reason is he is annoy by the Beggar's voice.

So they have a conversation that triggered the pride of the King and now he is scared by a Beggar, because of the words he say to him and the miracles happen by cutting his tongue and slaying him by a sword, but he still alive and back to normal.

So in the whole play, I was amaze but sad, because even you have a high position in your company, organization, and etc. you should be humble to your mates and comrades in your group. Because not all things is in your hands, sometimes the life that you have will be change, may it be bad or good.

And being wise to our decisions, even if the problems have solutions take it as easy as you can but not hard as your pride, because pride is not an option to solve your problems but be wise, so that you can make a wonderful results in the future or in the present time.

Reflection:                                            On His Blindness                                 On his blindness is one of the most precious sonnet in our English Literature in Neoclassical Period by John Milton. This sonnet is all about the reputation of John Milton as a writer, because of his illness of eyesight.                                 Everyone is gifted, because God give us what we need as a person; talent, body, mind , and our five senses. But not everyone has it. They say "Everyone is not perfect", even if we are talented, we are having struggles in life, illness, and especially negative results of having such talent in this world.                 ...
